Lim Family (Richmond, VA)

Hi - We are the Lim family. We are Korean Americans living in Richmond, VA. We have a soon to be 5 year old son, Michael, and soon to be 3 year old daughter, Isabella. Aren't they adorable?

Jung Jae lived all over the world because his father was a Korean diplomat. He attended high school in Germany and met Stacey when they attended Duke University. Jung Jae is a software developer and earned his masters degree at George Mason University. Jung Jae's parents live in Seoul. He has two sisters in the U.S.

Stacey was adopted when she was 6 years old. She grew up 5 minutes from the beach in Florida.
Stacey's older brother attended Harvard and started his own business a couple of years ago. Stacey and her sister attended Duke University, both majoring in Psychology. Stacey earned her MBA from Darden University (University of Virginia) and currently works in banking.

Also, another member our family are our au pairs. For the past 3 years we have shared our home with students from various countries - Germany, Korea, and now Denmark. Our au pair takes care of our children full time.

We live in a new neighborhood with lots of kids. It is very safe and in a great school district. There are also several private schools within driving distance. We want to share our home with someone whom we can consider a member of our family. With us, you can gain the full American experience, but with the comfort of some familiar things like Korean food.

By the way, we only speak English at home. Jung Jae knows how to speak Korean, but he won't teach us! ggrrr.

We are really excited to meet you and welcome you into our family!!

South Korean High School Student (Girl) Seeks a Host Family in Lubbock, TX

Help Please!  I have a foreign student, a girl from South Korea that will be needing a HomeStay family in Lubbock for the upcoming school year.  Her name is SeMin (Say Min) and she will be a Sophomore in High School.  This will be her first time to visit the U.S.  The host family that was previously lined up for her has experienced personal tragedy that makes their participation not practical.
SeMin is in the Middle

SeMin is the 3rd sister from this particular family to come live with families in Lubbock.  Her older sisters were great to have and performed well academically.  SeMin's family will offer compensation to the host family.

Please give me a shout if you are interested and capable.

Thanks!

Seeking a Host Family in the U.S. for South Korean High School Student

Great Opportunity for cultural exchange!

Here's a foreign student from Seoul, South Korea that is looking for a HomeStay family for the new school year in the fall! His name is HanSik (Hawn Seek) Jung and he is currently a Sophomore attending High School in Baltimore under a Student Exchange Program.

He will be returning to South Korea for the Summer but would like very much to return to the U.S. after Summer Break.

HanSik is currently attending school here under a J-1 Visa through Youth for Understanding. J-1 Visas can only be used for 1 school year. When he returns, he will be attending school on a regular Foreign Student Visa (F-1). The thing is, that we need to find a HomeStay family for him as soon as possible so that the School District or Private School he will be attending can process the necessary paperwork.

HanSik is a good student and his English gets better everyday. He is Christian (Methodist) but will gladly attend the host family's Church regardless. He loves spots, music and is a fan of Harry Potter, Sponge Bob, Avatar, action movies and comedy. The only child of a Medical Doctor and loving Mother, with the support and approval of his family, HanSik wants to finish High School in the U.S. and possibly go on to attend a University here.

HanSik's family will compensate the host family at $1,500.00/month for the love, encouragement, nurturing and overall parental guidance you will provide. To learn more about HanSik and this cultural exchange opportunity, please contact me at your earliest convenience:
